Let's look at both Direct Sales Marketing and MLM Opportunities.
Direct Sales would be my first choice since I have tried them both. While your enthusiasm is high and you're motivated to succeed. You need that first sale to confirm that you made a smart decision and chose the right program.
With Direct Sales Marketing you offer products of value and they pay a commission up front for each sale that you make. You need to make sure that the products you offers have value or no one will ever buy them. Or if by chance they do buy, they won't come back. You want that repeat business. You want your satisfied customers coming back to you, time and time again to see what other products you have to offer. With Direct Sales Marketing, you also offer additional up-sale items, which provides you with a higher commission. When you have repeat customers, they already trust you or they wouldn't have come back. The next sale becomes easier to make. This is why you want to choose a product with a great track record.
MLM Opportunities have been around it seems like forever. The problem with MLM Opportunities as I have experienced, is that in order to make good money and do this full time, which only a few of the top leaders in the industry are able to do, requires having a large downline of people. This isn't impossible but does take a lot of time to grow and cultivate. A lot of people will grow tired from disappointment of slow growth and drop out. You will have to continue motivating your group and continue sponsoring new people to replace the ones who loose interest. Don't get me wrong there is a place for MLM Opportunities but you need to be patient yet enthusiastic about your product and services. I find that if you are up front and honest with people, you will be successful. Help others first and find there dreams and before long your dreams will be realized as well.
Too many times you have well intentioned friends or family members who mean well but are the first to ask you, "have you lost your mind"? Or "No one ever makes money in those kinds of programs". Ever hear either one of those? I know I have...many times. Be persistent and don't give up. Believe in yourself.
For me having tried both Direct Sales Marketing and have joined several MLM Opportunities, I would first go with Direct Sales Marketing. I feel like people want to be successful and this offers commissions up front which fuels your desires and allows you to further grow your opportunity.
